SIMPLE PRESENT on your mind is Easy

 What is simple present?

I know you have known this words, but I think you have to be more aware in this usage. let's get started!

Simple present is a tense that is used to tell or say about an event(s) which are happened in daily life as continuously. 

In other words, you can describe simple present as a tense that is used to say the daily activities in everyday. 

Rules of Simple Present tense

  • Subject; She, He, and It use s/es after verb words, for example; She eats, swims, goes.
  • Subject; I, You, We, and They use verb without s/es
  • For negative sentence, subject She, He, and it use Doesn't/ Does not
  • For negative sentence, subject I, You, We, and They use Don't or Do not
  • For interrogative sentence, subject She, He, and it us Does
  • For interrogative sentence, subject I, You, We, and They use Do

Pattern of Simple Present Tense

This tense has two types of pattern, namely Verbal and Nominal. What is the different between them?

Verbal pattern is a pattern that consists of verb, for example swim, eat, sing, etc.

meanwhile Nominal pattern is a pattern that states adjective and noun. 

Here we have pattern of Simple Present tense as follow:

S+V+O+Complement

She goes to school every day

The highlight is verb, and because the subject is she, then the verb have to be added es in this positive sentence.

S+don’t/doesn’t+V+O

+Complement

She doesn’t go to school every day

In the negative sentence the es have to be deleted

Do/Does+S+V+O

+Complement?

Does she go to school every day?

In the interrogative sentence the es have to be deleted and to answer this question, there are two options probably that can be choosen, such as; Yes, She does or No, She doesn’t.
